Lake Tahoe Fall Festival
The Lake Tahoe Fall Festival stands out as a celebration of autumn and one of the most well known fall festivals in the area. Held in the heart of South Lake Tahoe at Harvey’s Casino, this festival transforms the area into a lively hub of seasonal festivities. This year’s event features a lineup of engaging activities, talks from notable speakers, their traditional skit, and yoga and meditation sessions. The Fall Festival also has a scenic organized walk to the lake and participate in our returning Golf Tournament on Friday (additional fee and pre-registration required).

Camp Richardson Oktoberfest
For those who enjoy a taste of Bavarian culture, Camp Richardson’s Oktoberfest is a standout event. Set at the well known Camp Richardson camp grounds in South Lake Tahoe, this FREE fall festival offers a festive atmosphere filled with traditional German food and beverages
Attendees can purchase bratwurst, pretzels, and other German specialties, paired with a selection of local and imported beers. The event usually features live polka music and dance performances, creating an authentic Oktoberfest experience.
Families will also find plenty of kid-friendly fun, including face painting and games. To fully embrace the festival’s spirit, consider dressing in traditional Bavarian outfits such as lederhosen or dirndl.
Parking can be managed through provided shuttle services, making it convenient to reach the event without the hassle of finding a spot.
There’s also one last chance to get an ice cream fix from Camp Richardson’s Ice Cream Parlor open through the Oktoberfest weekend from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Sample the Sierra
Sample the Sierra is a premier food and wine festival that highlights the culinary excellence of the region. Sample the Sierra is a South Lake Tahoe one of the fall festivals that is a must-visit for food enthusiasts and wine connoisseurs alike. Guests can savor a variety of gourmet dishes from top local chefs and sample exquisite wines from nearby vineyards.
In addition to the tastings, the festival features live cooking demonstrations where attendees can learn from renowned chefs. The event also includes booths showcasing local crafts and gourmet products, offering a unique shopping experience.
To ensure you don’t miss out, it’s advisable to purchase tickets early, as this event can sell out quickly. For those interested in experiencing everything Sample the Sierra has to offer, the Full Sampling Ticket provides access to a wide array of food, wine, beer, and spirits for $75. If you prefer to focus solely on the culinary delights, the Food Sampling Only ticket is available for $45. Additionally, children under 10 can join the festivities at no cost.
